DRY 10 | Heavy Cut Compound & Scratch Remover

Professional Paint Correction - Step 1

Description: DRY 10 is the heavy-hitter of the GLOBOWAX paint correction system. Engineered with high-grade abrasives, this professional compound is the first critical step in restoring neglected paintwork. It is designed to level the clear coat surface by effectively removing heavy swirl marks, oxidation, water spots, and surface scratches. By erasing these imperfections, DRY 10 transforms dull, faded paint into a smooth, revitalized canvas, perfectly prepping the car for fine polishing and ceramic coating application.

Key Features:

  • High Cutting Power: Rapidly removes heavy defects and sanding marks (approx. P1500 grit).
  • Oxidation Removal: Restores the true color and depth of faded, matte-looking paintwork.
  • Surface Leveling: Smooths out the clear coat to ensure a mirror-flat reflection.
  • Step 1 Essential: The mandatory foundation before applying fine polish or wax.
  • Versatile Application: Effective via manual application or professional rotary machines.

PROFESSIONAL APPLICATION GUIDE

DRY 10 is best used with a machine polisher for full car correction, but can be used by hand for spot repairs.

Method 1: Machine Application (Professional)

  1. Setup: Attach a 100% Wool Pad or a Heavy Cutting Foam Pad to your rotary or DA polisher.
  2. Priming: Apply a sufficient amount of DRY 10 beads onto the pad.
  3. Spreading: Place the pad on the paint and spread the compound at the lowest speed setting to prevent sling.
  4. Correction: Increase the speed (RPM) and work the product in a cross-hatch pattern (up-down, left-right) until the scratches disappear and the product turns clear.
  5. Wipe Off: Buff away the residue with a clean microfiber towel to inspect the results.

Method 2: Manual Application (Spot Repair)

  1. Apply: Pour a small amount of DRY 10 onto a firm applicator sponge or microfiber cloth.
  2. Rub: Apply moderate to firm pressure over the scratch or defect, rubbing in circular or back-and-forth motions.
  3. Finish: Wipe off the residue with a clean microfiber towel to reveal the restored surface.
PRO TIP: DRY 10 is an abrasive compound designed to cut. It may leave micro-hazing (compounding marks) on dark cars. For a flawless showroom finish, always follow up with Step 2: Fine Polish to refine the gloss.
