The evolution of the GLOBOWAX brand and the "Dry Car Care" concept began in late 2006 when our founder, Mert ZANDALI, leveraged his family's international logistics company connections to observe nanotechnology products abroad, assess market potential, and focus on the emerging opportunity. Initially, the product range was quite limited, but these pioneering products, with their anti-static, hydrophobic properties and special formulations, made it possible to clean a car's exterior bodywork and specific components without using water.

Through a fateful combination of the right place, right time, right observation, and a touch of fortune, he blended the infrastructural advantages and existing experience of his family's international trade and logistics company. Immediately after his university education, still in his twenties, Mr. Zandali identified a gap in the market for strong Turkish commercial brands and decided to implement and develop this innovative business model in Turkey.

Naming the Concept and Setting the Standards

Mert ZANDALI sought a name that would make the concept easily relatable to the public. To emphasize the core feature of this waterless system, he drew inspiration from the popular "Dry Cleaning" services of the time and coined the name "Dry Car Care". This ensured that even those unfamiliar with English could easily grasp the concept.

Online Presence and Brand Protection

To introduce the concept, the drycarcare.com website was registered. This site has maintained its industry leadership for over 18 years. Furthermore, approximately +400 key domain names were registered, making a significant investment in protecting the brand's future and integrity.

Pilot Brand and Franchise Model

Before transitioning to the franchise model, pilot brand operations were conducted under the name "Dry Car Cleaning" in the Bahçeşehir district of Istanbul, a location known for its diverse demographic and distinct community feel. During this phase, services were refined, and invaluable experience was gained. By observing the strategic mistakes of other entrepreneurs in the sector, the most effective operational and promotional methods were identified. In just 1.5 to 2 years—a remarkable feat under the market conditions of 2008 in Turkey—the brand successfully acquired nearly 2,000 registered customers who embraced the unprecedented 'mobile car cleaning service.' This service was first introduced as 'dry car cleaning' (the planned pilot name) and was gradually established in the public mind as the 'dry car care' concept. These figures and the loyal customer base were extraordinary for the time. And then, the inevitable happened...

Over time, as others recognized the concept's profitability, they began marketing different products as "waterless car wash." However, as GLOBOWAX, we maintained our industry leadership through our original products and unwavering commitment to service quality. By correctly introducing the concept to the public, we ensured the widespread adoption of terms like "Waterless Car Cleaning" (as it's popularly known), and our official terms: 'Dry Car Care' and 'On-Site Car Cleaning'.
