How to Perform a Waterless Car Wash? (Step-by-Step Guide)

Step 1: Exterior Car Cleaning

GLOBOWAX application starts with the exterior. Fill the application pump bottle with the DRY 1 Nano Cleaner solution. Pressurize the bottle and spray the product onto the car's bodywork from a distance of 10-15 cm.

Always start the cleaning process from the roof and work your way down in small, manageable sections. Once the product encapsulates the dirt, use a clean microfiber towel to wipe the surface using gentle, horizontal wrist movements to lift the dirt safely. Then, switch to the polishing phase. For this, you must use a second, dry and clean microfiber towel.

Using the dry towel, buff the surface with circular (oval) wrist movements. This friction activates the Carnauba Wax and Polymer ingredients in the solution, bonding them to the paint for a high-gloss shine. Complete the roof first, then move to the hood and sides. Leave the lower rocker panels (skirts) and bumpers for the very last step, as these are the dirtiest areas.

Step 2: Interior Cleaning

Begin by vacuuming the car interior thoroughly using a standard or mobile vacuum cleaner. Next, apply GLOBOWAX DRY 2 Multi-Purpose Cleaner onto a clean microfiber towel and wipe down the desired surfaces (dashboard, console, doors) using oval motions.

  • For Floor Mats:

    • Carpet Mats: Spray the solution onto the mat and scrub vigorously with a carpet brush.

    • Rubber/Plastic Mats: No brushing is required. Simply spray the solution onto the surface and wipe clean with a microfiber towel.

After vacuuming, move on to the seats and upholstery. It is critical to use different methods for fabric and leather.

  • Fabric Seats: Spray GLOBOWAX DRY 7 directly onto the stains and let it dwell for a moment. This waiting period allows the dirt to lift to the surface. Then, scrub gently with a clean, soft sponge or brush.

  • Leather Upholstery: Use the specialized GLOBOWAX DRY 8 Leather Cleaner. Apply with a soft cloth and wipe gently. Avoid harsh scrubbing or standard fabric cleaners, as they damage leather. After cleaning, applying a leather conditioner is essential. This process extends the life of the seats and prevents the annoying "squeaking" sound often caused by dry leather.

Step 3: Glass Cleaning

Always start with the exterior glass surfaces. Spray GLOBOWAX DRY 3 directly onto the glass. Using a clean microfiber towel, clean the surface with oval wrist movements. If needed, buff dry with the clean side of the towel to remove streaks.

Next, move to the interior glass. Unlike the exterior, do not spray directly onto the glass to avoid overspray on the dashboard. Instead, spray the solution onto your microfiber towel and then wipe the glass clean. Finish by buffing with a dry towel for crystal-clear vision.

Step 4: Rim & Tire Cleaning

Rims and tires are often the dirtiest parts of the car. Before cleaning the body, or immediately after, apply GLOBOWAX DRY 4 Rim Cleaner generously onto the cool rim surfaces. Allow the solution to dwell for a moment to dissolve brake dust and road grime. Then, using a dedicated rim brush or a microfiber towel, agitate the dirt and wipe clean.

Once the rims are clean and dry, it is time to condition the tires. Apply GLOBOWAX DRY 5 Tire Shine onto a tire sponge applicator. Spread the product evenly across the tire sidewalls. This not only restores a deep black look but also nourishes the rubber to prevent cracking.

Step 5: Engine Bay Cleaning

Important: Ensure the engine is cool to the touch before starting. Spray GLOBOWAX DRY 6 Engine Cleaner over the engine block, hoses, and plastic covers. Avoid soaking sensitive electrical components directly.

Allow the formula to break down the oil and grease for 1-2 minutes. Use a detailing brush to agitate dirt in tight crevices. Finally, wipe away the grime with a dirty-duty microfiber towel. The product leaves a satin, anti-static finish that protects plastic and rubber components from heat aging.
